4月30日 Bees,Custom Orders and Spring have Arrived!! Ok first the Bees-I had 4 sets of them to swarm in the last week.
They usually don't swarm until May-However the Husband was thoughtful
enough to have the empty hive boxes handy. When they landed in the Peach Tree,
this was a first(usually they go up in a 50 ft Oak tree) I was supposed to just
Watch and put one of these boxes underneath for them to fall in, go in,whatever.
Of course when he came home-He just shook the limb and they fell in the box-next
we(he) moved them,placed a covering on them,placed water and honey for them to eat and drink.
After 3 days they were placed on a stand where they will stay.
The first set (size of a basketball)left-just flew away-Got the 2nd (size of a football)and
the 3rd-the 4th was a small group about the size of a baseball.
They don't usually sting when swarming-unless you swat at them. NOOO I didn't swat,
I did get stung once with all 4 swarms.

Been working on some Custom Orders for Mothers Day- A mailbox with Handpainted Tole style Rooster and Hen,
a red Barn,a windmill and landscape with a fence and trees.

OK -Spring has Sprung at My House- Besides them bees a swarming-
We have 16 Duck Eggs just waiting to be hatched, the Hens(regular chickens Rhode island Reds)
are working overtime on getting the chicken eggs ready too. The Garden is only plowed-
except for the 6 tomato plants we put out(Temperture fell into the low 30s last night).
We might need to wait until this weekend to plant anything else.

4月11日 New Friends,New Items Thank You for your patience and reading my blogs and not knowing that my ecrater widget would not work on this blog

4月2日 My First real Blog-So bear with Me,PLEASE Today I have been Painting on a couple of mailboxes. Wanted to do a Black and White Check Mailbox-- sort of like the checkered flag at a race. I handpainted the mailbox white,then used a ruler to place the checks.I don't use a stencil,or a sponge because I like the sharp crisp look that painting each check looks.
There is 3 rows of checks at the center of the top-with 2 rows across the bottom with 2 rows along the side. The door also has a row of checks, but room painted in white with solid black on the rest of the door--to leave a space for the persons Number. Plenty of space is also left on each side in white on both sides for a person to have their last Name and Number also added.
Now-this does take a little bit of time so I will be working on this again tommorrow and finish it up with 3 coats of sealer. More will be added when someone purchases it and I have the name and number to add. It will be painted in black.
I really LOVE to Paint and do Crafts....Finding a place like Ecrater to have a store of my own that provides a place to sell my crafts and to keep buying supplies needed to continue them.
